I have to say this day was full of glam. Rena Shamoon, my partner in travel, took an amazing one-on-one class with Elizabeth Seropian A.K.A. ElloJello. Her makeup application is flawless, so it was exciting to see Rena perfect her own techniques! I had the pleasure of taking some behind the scenes images from her experience! I am not a makeup artist in any way, but I do have a love for beauty. Being in the photography business I see it all, whether its fashion, makeup, fitness, or models. Its just in my nature to love it and make it work!
I can go days with no makeup, but when I do wear it I like to do it right! Which leads me to the next makeup class! Arm Caradanian was hosting a makeup seminar later that day, and I decided why not? It was open to everyone to sign up whether they were certified or not, so it was perfect! I had sooooooooo much fun in that class. I learned a lot, and I really can’t wait to try those looks out on myself for a wedding or maybe just a night out..who knows! The model looked gorgeous at the end and standing next to her I was just in awe of her face and the artistry of Arm. She’s so cute and personable, she made us feel comfortable and she answered all of the questions we had (especially me because I ask a million and one) with grace!
The day was really a success! In between the two classes we had some time so we decided to check out the Morphe store and purchased some new brushes! Just a side note- everything in L.A. looks so amazing and cool on social media but once you’re there its not as big of a deal as one might have thought. The outside of it was just in a regular plaza that you could find in Sterling Heights, MI, but the inside was Morphe heaven. I’m really happy for everything that I had to experience from the makeup portion of our day. The only super disappointment was that I didn’t get to meet Lilit Caradanian (makeupbylilit) herself. She is very busy, and with that being said she wasn’t able to stop by the seminar, but its okay I still love her.
We jam packed our days to really get the most out of our short trip. So after the seminar we headed out to the Griffith Observatory! We had no idea what it was going to be like, so we were surprised when we found ourselves driving up a mountain! It was really scary at first, but honestly Im blessed to have seen such a sight!
Here are some images I was able to capture with my phone! Featuring some selfies, Arm herself, and the goodies from the goodie bags!

Rena said to me while we were on the top of the observatory,
"Put down the cameras, and phone, and just look. Just take it all in for a second."
I will never forget that moment and her wise words. I have definitely learned a lot about enjoying life with my own eyes, and not only through my lens.
